Employees can manage their work preferences by setting their availability and unavailability within the Carecentre.io mobile app. This helps managers create schedules that align with staff preferences while ensuring shift coverage.
How to Add Availability
Tap More from the bottom navigation menu.
Select My Availability from the options.
Tap on Add Availability.
Select the dates and times when you are available to work.
Tap Save to confirm your availability.
How to Add Unavailability
Tap More from the bottom navigation menu.
Select My Availability from the options.
Tap on Add Unavailability.
Choose the dates and times when you are unavailable to work.
Tap Save to update your unavailability.
Creating an Availability/Unavailability Pattern
If you need to set a recurring availability or unavailability pattern (e.g., marking Thursdays off for the next 3 or 4 weeks), you can use the Pattern feature:
Select the date for which you want to create a pattern.
Tap the Pattern button.
Choose the Start Date and End Date for your pattern.
Confirm the pattern and tap Create Pattern.
Editing or Removing Availability/Unavailability
Navigate to More > My Availability.
Select the entry you wish to update or remove.
Make changes or delete the entry as needed.
Save the changes to ensure they are reflected in your schedule.
Important Notes
Availability updates do not guarantee shift assignments.
Unavailability does not automatically excuse you from scheduled shifts—always check with your manager.
Some organisations may require approval for availability changes.
Troubleshooting & Support
If you are unable to update your availability:
Ensure your app is updated to the latest version.
Check with your manager if availability settings are enabled for your role.
Refresh the app or log out and log back in.
