Days off in Carecentre.io refer to designated non-working days when an employee is not scheduled for a shift. These may be part of regular work patterns or specific requests approved by a manager. Employees can view their days off directly in the app.

Types of Days Off

  1. Scheduled Days Off – These are regular non-working days assigned as part of a set rota or shift pattern.

  2. Approved Leave – If a leave request (such as annual leave or unpaid leave) is granted, the system will mark those dates as days off.

  3. Unavailability Entries – If an employee has marked specific dates as unavailable, managers may take this into account when scheduling shifts, but it does not guarantee a day off.

Viewing Your Days Off

  1. Open the Shift section from the home.

  2. Check your schedule to see which days you are not assigned a shift.

  3. Approved leave and scheduled days off will be visible in your rota.

Difference Between Days Off and Leave

  • Days Off: Automatically assigned based on rota patterns or unavailability considerations.

  • Leave Requests: Require manager approval and can be paid or unpaid, depending on company policy.

Important Notes

  • If a day off is part of a shift pattern, no action is needed from employees.

  • If you need a specific day off, you must request leave or update your unavailability in the My Availability section.

  • Being unavailable does not guarantee a day off unless a manager approves leave or adjusts the rota accordingly.

Troubleshooting & Support

If you are unsure about your scheduled days off:

  • Ensure your app is updated to the latest version.

  • Contact your manager for clarification on rota assignments.

  • Refresh the app or log out and log back in.

By understanding how days off work in Carecentre.io, employees can effectively plan their schedules and ensure accurate time management.
